Getting to Grips With BI

If you’re running your own small business, you’re going to have to engage in a whole host of different areas you may never have dabbled in before to make your company a success and generate as much profit as possible. BI is definitely one of these areas, but it’s one that many small businesses think belongs to the realm of larger companies and corporations.

When it comes down to it, BI is essential for any business. It stands for business intelligence and it’s the process that will provide you with insight into historical, current and predictive views of your business’ performance and progression. It can take a look at how things have gone so far, how certain plans, projects and ideas have panned out, and whether you should be repeating these behaviours in the current or future climate.

Of course, you may not be able to dedicate the time and effort to get to grips with BI that’s necessary to do the job justice. So you should definitely consider either recruiting a BI specialist and providing them with specialist BI software, or at least providing yourself with specialist BI software.

Now, there are plenty of types of BI software out there. But the most apt for many small businesses tends to be “Power BI”. This is created by Microsoft, so is reliable and suitable for the vast majority of companies. The infographic by STL training below should show you everything you need to know about this innovative and effective piece of BI software!
