No Website in Sight: 3 Analogue Ways to Intrigue Customers

One of the biggest issues in terms of modern marketing is that it all leans towards the digital. We all want to get traffic to our websites, or we want people to sign up for email newsletters, and on it goes. But if we want to intrigue customers, we may need to think about going analogue. There’s so much we can do beyond the digital world, so if you are thinking about promoting your business without relying on the internet, or you need something that’s a bit more cost-effective and visceral, here are some approaches to bear in mind:

Local Events

Businesses can benefit from improving their presence in the local community. It also allows you to reach the people that need your services the most and gives you the ideal opportunity to expose your brand. This is the best way for you to start building that bridge between yourself and customers, whether it’s through speaking to customers or simple product sampling that allows your service or product to do the talking for you.

You could also give speeches at local events and align yourself with certain local charities, which ensures you give back to the community. This is a great way to highlight how you are giving back through your actions.

Vehicle Branding

A very curious concept for many, the vehicle decal that you see on the side of a car every now and again can be a great way for you to provide intrigue. It’s also a very cost-effective approach to promote your business. Those that are looking to drum up some form of support need to utilise print advertising.

Print advertising is one component that will make a massive difference because something like direct mail reaches audiences instantly. But vehicle branding ensures that you are sticking out like a sore thumb when you are out and about on the road. A vehicle that is branded has more colour and therefore can peak that interest with potential customers.

Forming Collaborations

Another way that works great for local businesses is forming collaborations or partnerships with other businesses that complement your services. The concept of cross-promotion, where you are expanding your reach through diversification, will help you reach different customer bases, but you can also learn a number of lessons from other organisations in terms of how they promote.

What we must remember at this point is that we don’t use collaborators as a way to make ourselves look good, but the relationship must be symbiotic. In terms of selling your services, you could utilise something like referral programs, or stretch your marketing budget by working with a company that will let you “piggyback” on them, which can help to reach a diverse audience.

Intriguing customers is about doing something different. There are plenty of unique marketing methods out there, but arguably if you want to stick out, you could benefit from avoiding the digital. That’s not to say that you should completely do away with a website or email marketing tactics, but more about learning the very important lesson that there is more than one way to skin a cat!
